Why do we need a Carbon Inventory?
● In July 2021, the EU announced the Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM) to address "carbon leakage"—the relocation of high-emission industries or the importation of goods that haven't internalized carbon costs.
● From 2023 to 2025, importers are expected to request carbon emissions data for goods and proof of carbon pricing in exporting countries.
●The official implementation period begins in 2026, initially focusing on direct emission pricing.
● In June 2022, the US Senate proposed the "Clean Competition Act" (CCA), a carbon tariff bill. This bill has recently passed its second reading.If the third reading is successful, the United States will begin to impose a carbon tax in 2024.

Simultaneously, to provide all parties with a consistent basis for greenhouse gas emissions inventory and verification methods,the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) officially announced the ISO50001, ISO14064 series, and ISO14067 standards in 2006, serving as the foundation for greenhouse gas inventory and verification methods.
